Registration for the 2012 season starts January 15.  A mass email will be sent out to remind returning players to register.

·        Written letters requesting younger players to move up to the next age group must be submitted and approved by the SCSL Board of Directors before the first tryout date

·        “Move Up” requests submitted on registration forms only will not be honored

·        Tryout dates are published on this website in January

The South County Softball League has completed another season.  With the help and dedication of your Board, Coaches, Teams, Player Agents, Team Parents, Umpires, Scheduler and the many parent volunteers, our season has been successful and rewarding.  Our hope is that every player experienced an excellent season, improved their skills, self esteem and benefited from team sport play. 

The SCSL By-Laws require that an annual membership meeting be held the third Sunday of September.  The 2011 annual membership meeting was held Sunday, September 18, 7:00pm at the Softball Building at Darrell Shell Park.  The following slate of officers was presented to the membership and elected as presented:

Please Note:  All parents (guardians) of players are considered members of South County Softball League and are invited to the Membership Meeting on September 18. 

FALL BALL -   Fall Ball Clinics will start every Sunday September 18 thru October 16, at Darrell Shell Park.  Players will register at the field the first session they attend.  Please make checks payable to SCSL.

Ages 6-8       1:00pm-2:00pm      $10.00

Ages 9-16     2:00pm-4:00pm      $15.00

Call the Softball Hotline (966-7408) before each session for updated information.  Age is as of December 31, 2011.  More information will follow. 

PITCHING CLINIC - The league is working on indoor pitching clinics for January and February. Dates and times will be posted on the website as soon as they have been confirmed.    

THANK YOU - The SCSL Board and members send a thank you to Tracy Meador for serving as the Education Director for the 2011 season.

The league also sends a really big thank you to Eddie Tucker for his commitment and dedication as the Division I Director (Mini Mites 8U).  He will be greatly missed as a board member of four years and a coach for sixteen years.
