Roanoke County Summer Softball Camp
The Roanoke Summer Softball Camp is a 3-day summer camp held July 20th, 21st and
22nd, 2010 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Moyer Sports Complex in Salem, VA.
Participants will receive instruction from Roanoke College Head Coach, Mike
Mitchell, his coaching staff and players from Roanoke College, Radford and
Virginia Tech along with coaches, Barry Wood, Russell Gaddy and Rick Anderson
on offense, defense and game strategies. The camp is open to player’s ages 9 to
18 and will be set up by age group. Participants are required to bring their
equipment. In the event of inclement weather a make-up day will be held on July
23th.
Fees: (includes lunch each day and a T-Shirt)
$125.00 early registration by July 3rd
$150.00 after July 3rd and day of clinic

September 17, 18 and 19, 2010
Learn to practice like a champion, play like a champion and live like a
champion!
Join Jennie Finch and her Olympic and Professional softball teammates for two
full days of personal instruction covering all aspects of softball. Roanoke
College and Radford University coaches and players will also be in attendance.
Come and learn from the best softball players in the world. Discover what it
takes to be a Champion on and off the field!
The weekend will begin Friday night, September 17th with the Champions Dinner
and Silent Auction with Jennie Finch and seven Olympic players from 6:00 PM to
10:00 PM at the Shelor Event Center in Christiansburg located at 1655 Roanoke
St., Christiansburg, VA 24073, off exit 118 next to Shelor Motor Mile. The cost
of the dinner is $30.00 per person. Make your checks payable to Mickey Deans
Softball Camp, LLC and mail to Rick Anderson - 125 Doe Dr. - Roanoke, VA 24012.

Mickey Dean’s Summer Softball Camp Information The three day camp is on Tuesday
through Thursday, July 13th-15th, 2010, 9am to 4pm. The camp will consist of
participants ages 8 to 18. Instruction will cover all aspects of the game which
include hitting, defense, throwing, base-running, pitching and catching.
Campers will learn the proper techniques of softball and have the opportunity
to improve their skills.

Directions:
Traveling on I81, take Exit 150 toward U. S. Route 220 North, towards
Fincastle.
Travel 1.7 miles and turn left at the light onto Catawba Road (Route 779).
Continue for 1.8 miles and turn right onto Etzler Road (672).
Proceed down Etzler Road for .8 mile until you see the sign for Recreation Park
at Greenfield, turn right,
Botetourt Sports Complex on right.
